Dear fellow bunny owners,
TW: Discussion of pets passing away.
I’m in all the rabbit tags a lot, perusing the photos obviously. And though it’s not every time I come across something like this it definitely happens more than I would like. I often come across people who’ve made posts about their rabbits passing away and how they’re feeling. But the disturbing part of these posts is in almost everyone they apologize. They make an excuse like “I know he/she was just a rabbit but..” And all I want to do it shake them and go but nothing, she/he was your rabbit, your pet, and you loved them. Therefore you have every right to mourn them and to not apologize for doing so. And the fact that it is sometimes completely invalidated by other pet owners absolutely enrages me. I don’t care if you’re not a bunny person, you don’t understand why people want to have bunnies or love them you have absolutely no right to invalidate our love for our pets or our sadness for when they pass away.
So this has turned out to be a bit of a rant but in the end I just want to say, if you lost your pet I am so sorry for your loss. And don’t let anyone tell you “It was just a rabbit” because fuck that, you loved them, they were your pet and you don’t deserve that bullshit especially in a time of mourning. Never apologize for loving your pet because they stop being a pet and become your family whether they are covered in fur, feathers, or scales they are our loved ones.
Alas I must depart!
But do not fret! For I will return and it will be glorious!
In other words I’m off to the Calgary expo and probably won’t be on until Sunday evening/Monday. So until then no asks or submissions will be posted. The queue is stocked full and shall be running as usual giving all you rabbit lovers out there your daily fix!

Update, news, and jazz
So as always first off welcome new followers!
For whatever reason whenever I see a new follower update I go “Welcome to the party” in my head.
Also wanted to let everyone know I’ll be gone between April 26-29, I’m going to the Calgary comic and entertainment Expo I am very excited! :D
So between those dates I won’t be answering questions or posting submissions, my queue will be running so you won’t be without any bunny goodness!
For those of you who know..or don’t know my first rabbit Reginald passed away this month.
I just received the letter from the vets office with his paw prints and a card from the staff. I was beginning to worry that this particular vets office didn’t do it but thankfully they do! It was sad to come home to and see it but at the same time I’m very grateful for vets offices taking the time to mail out the paw prints and everyone signing a card with their condolences. Anyway, just wanted to share with everyone and say a quick thank you to everyone here for supporting me during that time! Sorry I didn’t send out any messages at the time, I was just kind of deflated for a lack of a better word!
Dear anyone who has sent me a nice message lately
It was not lost somewhere within the depths of tumblr.
I’m just hoarding them for the moment because it makes me smile looking at them in my inbox every other day :D

My very first pet, I had to let him go today. He was wonderful at staring contests. Jumped onto my dogs face once when doing his happy jumps. Often embarrassed himself. And he was fucking amazing.
So apparently, if you reblog to many photos in one day even to your queue. Tumblr will refuse to allow any of the your queued photos to post throughout the day because “You’ve exceeded your daily post limit.”
Rude.
Yup, nope.
I thought I had a good few days worth of photos in my queue.
Yeah, I was WRONG.

Recently I’ve gotten a lot of messages asking about certain bunny behaviors. I don’t mind, I like being asked questions so I can do the research and learn new things and hopefully help people out.
However I’m beginning to get some messages that I’ll just refer to as rather “sassy”. So I think perhaps I should remind everyone who is asking me these questions of the following:
I am not a vet.
I am not an expert.
I do not know everything there is to know.
So if my suggestions aren’t spot on, do not get snippy please and thank you. I am only providing options. As I said above I neither a vet nor expert, simply someone giving their opinion based on the information you give me and the research I’ve done. If you’re unsatisfied with the answers I’ve provided then I can only suggest that you do research yourself or seek the opinion of a professional.
I’m sorry if this comes off rude but I’m getting a little tired of people getting cranky with me because I don’t have all the right answers. Also I am not sure if I’ll be continuing answering questions for a wee bit at the moment due to this kind of feedback I’ve been receiving.
